AKARNANIA. The Oiniadai. Circa 219-211 BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 23 mm, 5.66 g, 12 h). Laureate head of Zeus right; below, monogram; behind, star. Rev. OINIAΔAN Head of the river-god Acheloos with wings to right; behind, monogram of AP. BCD Akarnania 345 (this coin). SNG Copenhagen 400 var. (different obverse monogram). Attractive dark patina. Minor flan crack and some roughness, otherwise, very fine.

From the Roland Müller collection, Münzen & Medaillen 30, 28 May 2009, 271 and from the BCD collection, Münzen & Medaillen GmbH 23, 18 October 2007, 345, previously purchased from Baldwin & Sons in January 1972.
